Critical Race, Gender and Sexuality Studies (CRGS) is an undergraduate program focused on the critical examination of race, class, gender, sexuality, dis/ability and nation as intersecting categories of identity, oppression and resistance.

Information for the Call for Papers/12th Annual Hip-Hop Conference (all details in text below)

Submission Dealine: April 13, 2025 (Email to rb1337@humboldt.edu)

We are accepting proposals from students, faculty, staff, and community members for presentations. Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals. Prospective participants may submit individual papers or full panels. All submissions must include the author/speaker(s) name, title of paper, and contact information.
Possible topics include but are not limited to:

Dr. Nancy Pérez's New Position

Dear Campus Community,

It is with a mix of joy and sadness that we announce that Dr. Nancy Pérez has accepted a position at California State University, Northridge in the Department of Central American and Transborder Studies beginning this Fall 2024. Dr. Pérez joined the Department of Critical Race, Gender & Sexuality Studies (CRGS) in 2018 and in Spring 2024 was awarded tenure and promotion to Associate Professor at Cal Poly Humboldt.
